Severus Snape
Masterful Professor of Potions and Head of Slytherin House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Greasy hair, sallow skin, cold black eyes, a hooked nose and a constant sneer define the Professor of Potions who is a dead ringer for evil personified. However, in this case, looks are deceiving. Snape is a man of fierce principles.

Why Snape is Cool:
OK, he may be greasy and pale, but we love him anyway. I mean, come on, how can you not like this guy? I know the Potter's fanclub people are like, "...but he's so evil, and he hates Harry...etc..." First of all, he doesn't "hate" Harry, he just resents the fact that he owes something to him. (For those of you who haven't read the books, Harry's father James saved Snape's life when they were students. This is why Snape feels he owes Harry, because he was never able to return the favor to James.) Second of all, he's not evil. He's the ultimate good guy, right up there with Dumbledore. OK, sure, he was a Deatheater, but he's not anymore. Now he puts his life in jeopardy to spy on Voldemort for Dumbledore. Not only is he in danger when he's with Voldemort or other Deatheaters, but he's in danger in his own classroom. If Draco Malfoy (*cough*bastard*cough*) got one word to his father Lucius that Snape wasn't the model bad guy, Snape could be in trouble.
